EUMS - European Mechanical Circulatory Support Summit 2012

The 7th European Mechanical Circulatory Support Summit, this year again in Bad Oeynhausen. Mechanical circulatory support therapy is established as a bridge to transplantation and data from destination therapy trials show excellent survival in non-transplant patients. The current hot topic is long term support as a true alternative to transplantation and we will address this important issue during this meeting. In addition, basic science and research, forum discussions, and life in a box sessions will be presented.
Worldwide the number of mechanical circulatory support programs is growing and over the last years the EuMS meetings with their outstanding faculty have contributed to educate people interested in this field.
