VAS ASIA 2013
12 July, 2013
New Delhi , India
India's telecom industry is on the cusp of a massive transformation, expected to bring many new business and regulatory changes. One such change is a shift in the service provider's focus from voice services to data (to drive revenues). This push will be caused by affordable mobile devices, new technology rollouts and cheaper data subscription rates. But to meet expectations, industry stakeholders and VAS players will be required to innovate and use the marketing mix (product, place, price and promotion) in an intelligent manner. A study by the management consulting firm Zinnov claims that the Indian mobile value-added services (MVAS) market is expected to move from traditional SMS-based services to Internet-based and application-based services.
