March 30 - April 1, 2012    Pievesestina di Cesena , Италия
The energy issue is, and will be increasingly in the future, a strategic environmental policies and economic ones. Fossil fuels are in fact the main culprits of air pollution and CO2 emissions, the Kyoto Protocol with the countries signatories are committed to reducing these emissions and developing renewable sources. On the economic front, the price of oil continues to rise and there is every reason to believe that energy costs are still growing.

Italy in this sector has historical backwardness, both in relation to the countries of Northern Europe and other Mediterranean countries like Spain.

The agricultural sector can become a major player in the field of renewable energy dedicated crops, biomass forestry, livestock and agro-industrial residues, solar and wind sources can produce electricity, heat, biofuels or biodiesel.

Renewable energy can become an opportunity for income for the farms and in the context of multifunctionality, advocated by the CAP, some will become "agrienergetiche", able to enter the market power, individually or in association at district energy Territorial.

The project, conducted with the support and collaboration of many institutions and organizations, represents a moment of information, promotion, dissemination on renewable energy in agriculture and discussion between those involved in new sectors with the aim of:
- Promote a culture of "energy-environment" still lacking in our country;
- Raising awareness of the agricultural sector to the current energy scenarios and the operational possibilities: the saving of energy and energy production, in order to identify and promote sustainable supply chains in terms of environmental and economic;
- To promote the systems and technologies for energy efficiency and green building.
