MoOD - Meet only Original Designs - International Trade Fair for Fabrics and Furnishings 2010

With the second edition of MoOD (Meet only Original Designs), which will take place on 14, 15 and 16 September,  only little more than four months ahead of us, it is time to present a first preview. MoOD 2010 will demonstrate that the trade fair is not only devoting attention to new products or trends, but also to emerging new markets.

Meet only Original Designs

Before summing up what’s new and what has been adapted, allow me to refresh your memory briefly, to get the picture right. MoOD, short for Meet only Original Designs, was launched under this new name for a fair that was previously known as Decosit Brussels. MoOD focuses on three product ranges: upholstery, window coverings and wall coverings and has a strong international appeal. As a fair, we target producers who are visited by professionals coming from 85 countries. These producers show only original designs in both the residential and the contract world.

As a whole, MoOD 2009 was very well received by both exhibitors and visitors, but it’s a fact of life one can and must always try to do better. In short, now was the time to make sure continuity came about, following a landslide change from Decosit Brussels to MoOD.

First of all, what is being retained? There are no changes as far as the size of the fair is concerned. We still exhibit in our familiar four halls 6, 7, 9 and 11. In these four halls, between 240 and 250 exhibitors will be present, which means we have about the same number of booths as last year. MoOD will again be flanked by the side shows Expofil Déco and Indigo.

Three major new facts: Duration, Contract Square and Blue Drops

There are three major new facts. What will strike the eye most is how we no longer organize the fair for 4 days, but from now on for 3 days, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This decis
