International Forum on Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics 2009

The IFASD 2009 is intended to give a comprehensive survey of the current status of research and development in the field of aeroelasticity and structural dynamics for aerospace vehicles. The forum is also an excellent opportunity to meet other scientists and engineers to exchange ideas and experiences. The program's technical content will include theoretical, numerical, and experimental contributions that describe original research results and/or innovative concepts. In addition, in-depth reviews and timely surveys will be considered. Papers that address all aspects of aeroelasticity and structural dynamics are being solicited. Topics for the conference include active control, adaptive structures, aeroelasticity, aircraft modeling and design, computational fluid dynamics, experimental testing, flight mechanics, fluid dynamics, loads, optimization, turbomachinery, and uncertainty modeling. Studies in other related areas are encouraged. This year's forum is being held at The Fairmont Olympic hotel, the Pacific Northwest's only AAA Five Diamond hotel, located in Seattle Washington, U.S.A. Surrounded by the Olympic Mountains, Mount Rainier, and the Puget Sound, Seattle is a progressive city, home to innovative companies such as Boeing, Microsoft, Nordstrom, REI, and Starbucks.
