The ‘Conference on Issues of Development and Implementation of Environmental Policy for Cities: Topical Issues in Environmental Protection in Russian Cities’ will also be held. Conference participants will exchange opinions on the management of regional environmental monitoring and environmental policy strategies in cities.

The issue of waste treatment and disposal has remained one of the most important and topical ones, not only at the municipal level, but also at the national level in recent years. The conference ‘Industrial and Consumer Waste Management: Russian and International Experience’ will raise issues of selecting the latest scientific and engineering advances in the sphere, and implementing them in practice.

The forum agenda also includes a number of workshops to help specialists improve their productivity by using legal information systems and introducing new software; understand the latest technological advances in the sphere of wastewater treatment, oil spill response, and reservoir bottom cleanup; and perfect a municipal environmental monitoring system. Jean-Marie Sevar, President of Flow-Tronic (Belgium), together with Neco Ltd. technical specialists, will speak about methods for water flow metering in pressure and non-pressure lines, as well as the organisation’s designs for commercial water meters.
