6:00 - 8:00 PM
Scott Sniedzins, Founder of Truly Local Farms Ltd., will be introducing current issues related to improving food systems and providing easy-access to high quality produce through the introduction of living plant systems into everyday households. He will also be discussing his design and construction of eight-frame shelving units for the establishment of live plant growing systems on condo rooftops. Furthermore, Scott will discuss waste reduction, composting practices, and the practice of aquaponics. We will take a conceptual look into the future of urban farming and how new technology and the “living fridge” can be used to evolve the kitchen and improve distribution systems.
