SIEITA 2012 WILL BE A MUST for water and irrigation professionals, drawn to a 5 day show offering a diverse, international array of equipment, technologies and services tailored to the Moroccan situation.
For the second SIETA, which will take place from 26th to 30th September 2012 in Béni Mellal, one hundred exhibitors will be presenting their products to over 5,000 professional visitors from national and local authorities, the worlds of agriculture, industry, construction and the service sector.
As the International Water and Irrigation Exhibition for Tadla-Azilal, SIEITA forms part of a Moroccan Green Plan that is designed to relaunch the agricultural sector and which represents a major challenge for the country. An investment plan totalling MAD 37 billion (around €3.3 billion) has been proposed to introduce water saving systems covering 670,000 hectares
across the Kingdom. Given the difficult water resource situation, which continues to worsen, water saving is now an essential part of the new Moroccan water policy and the Department of Agriculture has developed a strategy for water saving and the exploitation of water in irrigated agriculture
