Due to continued growth of the global economy, the demand for natural resources, such as metals and minerals is rapidly increasing, and they are being exploited without meters and bounds. Processing and extraction of metals from natural resources could be sometimes a real challenge for industry.

Practical Mineral Processing and Extraction Workshop provide a concise and thorough overview of extractive metallurgy as it is applied in industry today. It provides an overview of the processing and extraction challenges and provides answers to these challenges. The primary objective of this workshop is to discuss current techniques and future trends in the area of mineral processing and metal extraction. This is an important and growing area, yet there are few practical and up-to-date workshops that devoted to this purpose.

This workshop not only discusses the different techniques available for mineral processing and metal extraction, but it also provides attendees sound information on plant optimisation and cost reduction.

It will be led by Dr Hossein Aminian, a well known expert in extractive metallurgy and nano materials, developed a number of breakthrough processes for metal extraction and processing (copper, nickel, cobalt, gold, silver, platinum, zinc, iron and many oxides and hydroxides).
