The Tourism Industry of Cyprus includes hotels and hospitality establishments (46.9%), foodservice and supply chain establishments (38.4%), as well as coffee shops, bars and entertainment venues (14.7%). In the 1st quarter of 2011 (January-April) the sector displayed a 7.5% revenue increase, with an 11 Euro increase in daily expenditure per person and an increase from 637.6 to 684.3 Euro in total expenditure per traveler, as compared to the corresponding 2010 quarter. Hotel establishments providing ‘3*’ to ‘5*’ services have a capacity of 47.400 beds, while tens of thousands of beds are also offered by well organised tourist apartments and traditional hostels.
