Recent analysis reported that nearly USD25 billion will be spent on development of electronic warfare systems over the next 10 years. More than 37,000 electronic countermeasures, radar warning receivers, electronic support measure system and other electronic warfare systems are anticipated to be produced by 2020 worldwide. The report has come as no surprise as increased reliance on a variety of complex, high technology, and electronic offensive and defensive capabilities has been observed in modern warfare.

Nevertheless, it is highly demanding to maintain competitive EW capabilities due to rapid technological advancement in this field. With increased sophistication in EW technologies and strategies, effectiveness of traditional jamming strategies may be hampered and EW system capabilities degraded. Electronic Warfare 2011 (EW2011) is customised to address this constant need to understand more about advanced EW systems and capabilities in this field.
