Joint IFIP Wireless and Mobile Networking Conference (WMNC) 2011

4th Joint IFIP Wireless and Mobile Networking Conference is sponsored by IFIP TC6 and technically co-sponsored by IEEE Communications Society.

Wireless and mobile networks, applications and services are rapidly growing areas that have attracted significant attention due to their potential impacts on the quality of life in many domains (health, emergency services, disaster recovery, commerce, shopping, TV, games…). To enable wireless and mobile computing, the integration of technologies from different fields -application and service design, distributed computing, networking, communications, and signal processing- is required.

The aim of WMNC’2011 is to bring together researchers and practitioners from the industry and academia and provide them with a platform to report on recent advances and developments in the emerging areas of wireless and mobile networking and computing. The conference will comprise multi-track sessions for regular papers, work-in-progress sessions, and posters.
PWC, MWCN, and WSAN topics were revisited in order to make them complementary and covering together the main hot issues in wireless and mobile networks, services, applications, computing, and technologies. WMNC’2011 will consist of three tracks:
■ Track 1: Wireless and Mobile Communications and Networks
■ Track 2: Wireless Sensor and Actor Networks, Ad hoc Networks
■ Track 3: Applications and Services over Wireless and Mobile Networks
