Portland, Maine -- IntertechPira is pleased to announce that its seventh annual international business conference, Smart Fabrics, will be held on April 4-6, 2011 at the Hotel Russell, London, UK. This annual event draws speakers, sponsors and exhibitors from the leading companies involved in the development of interactive and advanced smart fabric technologies.
In 2011, the conference will be chaired by Stacey Burr, CEO of Textronics and VP at Adidas. Stacey Burr is a leader in the field of smart fabrics. Following a career at DuPont, she founded and served as CEO of Textronics Inc, a pioneer in electro-textiles. Textronics lead the commercialization of e-textiles with the first wearable sensors for fitness and health. In late 2008 she successfully sold the company to adidas and currently serves as Vice President, adidas Wearable Sports Electronics.
Smart Fabrics 2011 is expected to attract more than 150 attendees this year. The conference will be of particular interest for people involved in electronics, textiles, medical, sporting equipment, fashion, and wireless communication industries, as well as military/space agencies and the investment community. An exhibit area will be available to attendees for viewing latest developments in the field.
