The Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Summit 2010
June 28 - 29, 2010
Baltimore MD , USA
In a time when the atmosphere around the pharmaceutical supply chain is increasingly volatile, Opal Events is pleased to present a pharmaceutical temperature regulation conference that to answers questions and provides strategies for the future of this landscape. The conference focus will encompass regulation and compliance, as well as global issues, topics which affect not only the pharmaceutical manufacturers, but transportation companies, pharmacies, and patients as well, among many other interested parties. When discussing supply chain issues, these latter links are often disregarded, but their education and compliance are vital to the safety of a drug, whether it be a frozen gel or room temperature pill. The FDA is passing more guidelines and regulation regarding these issues, as many consumers have fallen ill due to drugs that have gone beyond the acceptable temperature range and manufacturers have lost millions in recalls.
Discussions involving temperature regulation have so far focused heavily on refrigerated (or cold-chain) drugs, and have all but ignored biologics and ambient (including controlled-room temperature) drugs. The industry is looking for more information, as the FDA is currently taking strides toward more actively regulating these topics. This unique conference will provide the answers.
