Exploration and utilization of alternate sources of energy has also been started in the Country. Pakistan?s geographic location makes it ideal to harness unlimited solar energy. Enormous investment opportunities for the Independent Power Producers (IPPs) exist in the Hydro Power generation plants. Pakistan has a potential of almost 50,000 MW WIND POWER, which could produce cheap electricity and reduce production cost for the cottage industry in the rural areas
