BioFuels International Canada Expo and Conference 2010
September 28 - 29, 2010
Montreal QC , Canada
The biofuels sector in Canada is just beginning but all the signs are that it will grow into a strong and successful industry. The government has made clear longterm commitments to renewable energy, such as a 5% inclusion of ethanol in petrol in 2010, and a 2% biodiesel inclusion in diesel by 2011.
Alberta is under increasing pressure to become more environmentally friendly and is home to the largest biorefinery in North America. During 2009-10 $55 million (€33 million) will be committed for biofuel initiatives to support the development of renewable energy and offer additional economic opportunities for rural Alberta and the agriculture and forestry industries.
Bioenergy International Canada expo & conference will bring together producers, regulators and investors to discuss how best to meet these goals and support the market’s continued development.
Calgary is the ideal location for this event, and as an added bonus visitors and delegates will have free access to the concurrent Tank Storage Canada expo & conference – focusing on terminal and tank farm developments throughout Canada and Northern America.
