Annual Duke Cardiothoracic Update and TEE Review 2013

The Division of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Duke University is proud to present the 16th Annual Cardiothoracic Update and TEE Exam Review Course, in collaboration with the Department of Anesthesiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School. The meeting will be held at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and consist of 4 days of discussion, lectures, hands-on practical workshops, and demonstrations of techniques and issues involved in the care of patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery, including transesophageal echocardiography.

This year, the meeting is designed to offer a comprehensive curriculum focused towards cardiothoracic surgery, anesthesia, perfusion, and critical care. In addition, each afternoon will feature the TEE review course that covers the essential components of the NBE Perioperative TEE Certification Examination. This includes mock exams, discussions, and comprehensive question and answer discussions to prepare participants planning to take the upcoming board exams.
