SSE - Systems Safety Engineering 2011
February 21 - 23, 2011
Singapore , Singapur
The systems safety concept identifies the need for risk management strategy based on identification, analysis of hazards and application of preventive measures using a systems-based approach. The application of hazard identification, analysis and elimination is not a one off project, but is often considered throughout the life-cycle of a system.
Due to the rapid change in technology, Systems Safety Engineering (SSE) has to be flexible and adaptable and is needed to ensure that systems are ready for deployment to missions. As there is no room for errors or systems failure in the battlefield, engineers need to ensure systems readiness at all times. Therefore, engineers need to advance their skills and knowledge in mitigating risk of systems failure and its preventive measures.
