IEEE SoutheastCon : Energizing our Future 2010

The Charlotte-Concord area offers a great venue for the IEEE SoutheastCon 2010 conference. The meeting is being held in Concord, NC which is adjacent to the University area of northeast Charlotte. IEEE SoutheastCon 2010 is being held March 18 – 21, 2010. The meeting site is Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center - Charlotte-Concord. Charlotte is the largest city between Atlanta and Washington, DC. It is the 20th largest city in the nation, and one of the fastest growing. The Charlotte metropolitan area is home to the headquarters of Duke Energy, Bank of America, Wachovia/Wells Fargo Bank, Family Dollar Stores, Goodrich Corporation, Lowe’s Companies and many Nascar Teams. Charlotte’s airport serves as a hub for US Airways. Nearly all IEEE Region 3 cities with an airport have a direct flight to Charlotte on at least on one airline. Interstate 85 and 77 run through the city, and Interstate 40 is just 40 miles north of the conference site.
