On 19 and 20 November 2011, horizon took place in Mainz for the fifth time. The education fair gave interested visitors from the Rhine-Main region a comprehensive overview of the study and training options available to pupils after their Abitur (German general qualification for university entrance).
Universities and colleges from the Rhineland-Palatinate, the whole of Germany, and numerous renowned companies which are also represented presented their study and training offerings for school leavers with the Abitur.
This year too, there was numerous presentations and workshops organised by the exhibitors, as well as other offerings.
Innovative discussion sessions with top-class experts provided in-depth information on the subject of student financing, application procedures and the diversity of voluntary services. These sessions enable visitors to ask individual questions and they got competent answers from the experts in the various areas.
