On 17 June 2004 the partners of Congress Innsbruck and the Innsbruck Exhibition Centre signed the merger agreement of the two companies, now forming the “Congress und Messe Innsbruck GmbH”. The general manager of the new company is Georg Lamp, Congress Innsbruck’s CEO of many years. "This merger has increased synergies and guarantees an even stronger position on the exhibition- and convention market culminating in a sustained economic success", he says.
