The DOM (Housing Exhibition) and OGRÓD i TY (Garden Fair) have also been accompanied with the Stone Exhibition. The expo provided the chance to become familiar with the offers of a few dozens of exhibitors. The 2013 Stone Exhibition was complemented with the scientific conference.

The meeting of 5th April was held under the banner of “Stone in deposits, landscape and architecture”. The discussions focused upon, inter alia, geological assessment of stone block production capacity in stone deposits located outside the Lower Silesia region, apotrophaic stone carvings in Krakow’s architecture, stone nomenclature in the context of work construction invitations for tenders, offers and procurement procedures, reclamation of the disused excavation pits located in the Sitkówka-Nowiny Commune in the Swietokrzyskie Mountains region, geological diversity in architecture.

Scientists of the Swietokrzyskie Division of Polish Geological Institute in Kilece, the AGH University of Technology, the Nowy Kamieniarz (The New Stone Master) bimonthly magazine, the Sitkówka-Nowiny Communal Culture Centre as well as Kielce’s Geopark representatives delivered the lectures and chaired scientific discussions.
