Airway Management is a critical skill in Anesthesia. This course is designed to provide participants with state-of-the-art information and hands-on experience to ensure effective and appropriate management of difficult and failed airways.
Target audience: The Difficult Airway Course: Anesthesia is intended for healthcare providers including, Anesthesiologists, Nurse Anesthetists and Anesthesiologist Assistants.
Course objectives: Upon successful completion of the course, the participant will be able to:
1. Anticipate and manage the difficult airway;
2. Indentify and manage the failed airway;
3. Understand the special case of the failed airway in obstetrics and pediatrics; and
4. Perform an awake intubation in the predicted difficult airway. Accreditation: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the essential areas and policies of the
Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of Hospital Physician Partners and Airway Management Education Center. Hospital Physician Partners is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
