Annual Wearable Art Show and Sale 2010

Palo Alto’s spectacular Wearable Art Show and Sale returns Saturday, April 24, 2010, with The 6th Annual Style 2010, at the Palo Alto Art Center. Featuring unique artisan-made
clothing, jewelry, and accessories, this year’s show welcomes a host of new artists and returning favorites, as well as live models, and the opportunity to meet the artists in person. Style 2010 is a must for fashionistas and collectors alike.

Discover the inspired design and originality of wearable art designed and made by over 35 acclaimed
artists from Northern California and around the country. Find timeless textiles and classic jewelry
displayed alongside cutting-edge eco-conscious designs. Whether you delight in soft, artful tops made of
reclaimed cashmere, men’s wool gabardine shirts featuring pockets of antique Japanese textiles, or
earrings incorporating creatively reused materials, such as gilded nylons, you’re sure to find one-of-a-kind
wearable art to add pizzaz and personal expression to any wardrobe.

A key fundraiser for the Palo Alto Art Center Foundation, Style 2010 will benefit children’s art
education programs at the Palo Alto Art Center. Now in its 6th year, Diane Master, manager of The Gallery Shop at the Palo Alto Art Center, produces Style 2010. “Style 2010 is a very exciting show and only gets better every year. This year, we have wearable art to suit all budgets, all ages, and, for the first time this year – men, as well as women! The event is a lot of fun; women help each
other select pieces, comment on each others' selections, and then review their purchases over lunch,” says Master.

Style 2010 is open to the public and admission is free for all Palo Alto Art Center Foundation (PAACF) members and $10.00 for non-members (fully tax-deductible).
