The only industries that survived through the 1997 crisis in Indonesia was the pharmaceutical industry. Today, it has grown to 205 industries with 2,463 distributors and 7,000 retails. Indonesia depends very much on the imports of pharmaceutical industry will face both challenges due to the continual imports of raw materials as well as new opportunities in the new ASEAN market with an estimated 400 million population.
GP Pharma, as the only existing Pharmaceutical Association in Indonesia, has taken steps to cooperate with Krista Exhibitions in IPEX 2010 (Indonesia International Pharma Expo, 27 - 30 October 2010) to prepare the Indonesia pharmaceutical industries in the new global era market...
