The meeting is held every two years since the first conference started in Thessaloniki, organized by WIT and the School of Engineering of Aristotle University. The meeting has been reconvened in a series of outstanding locations, such as Tuscany, a region rich in the type of cultural architectural heritage that needs to be protected against earthquakes.
