By the year of 2011, Production capacity of China's new energy vehicle will reach 500,000, while the sale volume of new energy car will accounted for about 5% of the passenger cars. China's new energy vehicle development strategy provide a beneficial way for China's automobile industry in the next 3 years.
The definition of new energy vehicles is that the vehicle which use non-conventional motor vehicle fuels as a power source (or use conventional fuel, but adopt new-vehicle power unit),integrated advanced technology of vehicle control and drive, with advanced technical principles,new technologies, and new structures. New energy vehicles are including hybrid vehicles, pure electric vehicles (BEV, including solar car), fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV), hydrogen vehicles,and other new energy vehicles (such as high-performance energy storage devices, dimethylether ).
