This course will provide an opportunity for the registrants to analyze neuroradiology cases involving the brain and spine with one of the world’s most renowned experts and leading educators in the field. Dr. Scott W. Atlas will discuss over 300 selected brain and spine cases in this intensive, personalized tutorial, highlighting his approach to the differential diagnosis of these diseases. Dr. Atlas will also review pertinent normal anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and imaging concepts. Principles and the current status of clinical applications using the newest MRI and CT methodologies in neuroimaging will also be discussed as well as a special session on Medical Imaging, Technology, and Health in Brazil. The emphasis will be on a clinically oriented imaging approach that helps refine differential diagnosis, so that the radiologist adds value to patient diagnosis and management.

This is a unique experience for registrants to personally discuss cases with the author of the preeminent text book on Neuroradiology, “Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Brain and Spine” recently released in its fourth edition. The course will encourage an open dialogue with Dr. Atlas during the case reviews and additional time has been allotted for questions after each session. This course is designed for all radiologists, neuroradiologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, and clinicians who have an interest in imaging of the brain and spine.
