Overview of the Conference
The dynamics of the retail sector are proving elemental to the development of a number of economies internationally. Yet the protracted nature of the global recession coupled with a lack of stability in capital markets has caused considerable discomfort. Those operating in the retail sector face additional challenges from overregulation, exchange rate volatility and the vagaries of macroeconomic imbalances. Yet for all these difficulties the retail sector remains remarkably robust and often at the forefront of innovation.
This international academic conference is intended to contribute to the emerging theoretical understanding and empirical base and to further advance the understanding of investment and retail management. We welcome empirical and theoretical papers which advance our knowledge of this important area. The following list is indicative of the types of contributions which may be appropriate.
