The Annual Great Southern Tree Conference (GSTC) is a cutting-edge educational event centered around an outdoor demonstration area. Developed through the joint efforts of the Florida Nursery, Growers & Landscape Association (FNGLA) and the University of Florida, this conference has traditionally been devoted entirely to tree selection, landscape, production, establishment, marketing and management issues in the southern United States.

For 2013, the conference will shift gears to include more than trees. That what makes 2012 such an incredibly significant year for the conference! The Great Southern Tree Confernece Field Day, taking place November 30 in Gainesville, will be a culmination of 11 years of research and findings. You can get a complete overview all in one day by attending!

The outdoor demonstration area makes this conference unique because it provides attendees with a hands-on opportunity to see emerging techniques, products and their affects year after year. No other educational conference takes concepts from the classroom and implements the ideas in a demonstration site. Attending this industry event will give you an up-close look at the newest industry growing, planting and handling approaches while improving your old methods.
Who Should Attend?

All segments of the Nursery & Landscape Industry are encouraged to attend. From Virginia to Florida and Texas, the topics, techniques and issues discussed at the GSTC will pertain to your business, because it was designed by business operators. The conference target audience includes growers, propagators, landscape contractors, plant brokers, allied suppliers, landscape architects, inspectors, foresters, arborists, city and county planners, water management district staff, educators, research scientists and other tree industry professionals.
