November 26 - 27, 2013    Perth , Australie
FeTECH this year will focus on the economics of processing and the beneficiation of iron ore. In light of the slowdown in demand for iron ore and pricing decreases, the need to process more efficiently and cost effectively is a challenge, particularly also concomitant with the fact that our labour costs, dollar and therefore terms of trade are really high in comparison to other nations and economies. FeTECH will focus on how we can achieve greater value from the iron ore supply chain, with topics addressing optimisation and streamlining processes, applying improved technologies, understanding the ore body and how to properly characterise it, knowing the steel makers needs.

The leading forum for technical developments involved with the exploration, mining and beneficiation of iron ore

Magnetite requires beneficiation. Beneficiation is costly, requiring more energy, producing increased tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions, and is significantly more complex.

The 4th Annual FeTech Conference, to be held at the Duxton Hotel in Perth from 26 to 27 November 2013, will explore these issues and deliver solutions.

Last year's FeTech saw over 30 speakers present from the likes of Rio Tinto, Fortescue Metals Group, BHP Billiton and Arrium Mining, as they looked into the specific technical aspects of Australia’s iron ore. This year's will be no different!
