The Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept with relevance for many markets – from consumer to automotive, healthcare to smart factories. The biggest challenge for developers is applying the secure internet connectivity and sensing technologies now available to existing applications and turn them into IoT applications. In the automotive market this will create the concept of the connected-vehicle; the healthcare market is seeing the trend for personalised medical devices and in the industrial market it is spawning new factories. Following the success of last year's event, IoT Design 2016 will focus on making IoT work for electronics design engineers and technical managers who by attending will: Learn more about how companies are applying low power standards, sensors, security systems and cloud services for the IoT. Discover real-world examples of how embedded hardware, running secure software can transform new and existing IoT applications, opening exciting business opportunities for OEMs and suppliers. An important part of this one-day event is the exhibition featuring suppliers of components and electronic technology used in a wide range of applications.
