EUROSON Congress 2015

The annual EFSUMB congress, this year will be held in Athens – Greece. The main objective of the congress is to inform, educate and update physicians of all specialties on all conventional, current and emerging fields of Ultrasound. The scientific program consists of categorical courses which aim to educate and inform attendees in all anatomical areas where ultrasound can be applied. There are also refresher courses which cover all areas of expertise and Practical Courses with hands-on availability for all participants. The program is enriched with plenary sessions, satellite symposiums and key-note speakers. The local organizing committee will present innovative ultrasound guided procedures of diagnostic and therapeutic value. With so many educational and scientific sessions containing vital clinical information and cutting edge science, it is no wonder that the Congress has become a global event rather than a purely European one! The Scientific Program consists of 10 Categorical Courses: Breast/ OBGYN/ MSK/ Cardiovascular/ Upper Abdomen / Trauma ICU/ Urology/ Head&Neck/ Anesthesia/ Interventional US. Each Categorical Course consists of a structured presentation of Ultrasound semiology on a specific anatomical system and each organ that comprises the system, starting from the Basics (echo-anatomy, physiology). Categorical Courses are supplemented with Refresher Courses which are educational and informative. The main goal is to educate and inform participants on conventional and innovative topics of each entity. Practical Courses are geared to teach, train and inform participants on conventional and innovative Ultrasound applications and US guided Interventional Techniques.
