- Short interactive exercise to highlight prevalence of non-adherence – use personal experience.
WHAT ARE THE DRIVERS OF NON-ADHERENCE?
- Information alone is not enough – the old model has failed.
- The importance of beliefs - Leventhal's Self-Regulatory Model.
- Themes across indications (asymptomatic vs. symptomatic).
- Primary vs. Secondary care (infusions vs. self-inject).
- Validated models to identify individual barriers.
- Short interactive exercise to demonstrate how patient-beliefs manifest through real life examples.
EXERCISE – DESIGN YOUR PSP:
Interactive exercise to go through the process of designing PSPs across 2-4 indications/2-4 objectives (depending on group size).
- Understand: what do we need to know?
- Connect: how do we bring this message to patients?
- Change - integrating effective measurement.
