Woodford Production Optimization Congress 2014

The Woodford shale play is rapidly emerging as one of the major unconventional energy resources throughout the United States of America with companies including Marathon Oil, Devon Energy and Cimarex repeatedly announcing plans to expand drilling rigs and fracture operations in the play. Combined with this are recent production results from Woodford operators such as Osage Exploration, which announced a 123% year on year increase in boe produced in 2014, and Jones Energy which has seen a 28% increase from 2012. With large operators investing and others already seeing returns on production, it has never been more commercially critical to examine how to prolong the production cycles of Woodford wells to ensure the long- term commercial development of the play.
