Enhancing capabilities • Increasing interoperability • Saving lives

Better integration is the key to more effective SAR operations. In 2014, Search and Rescue Europe brings together leading SAR practitioners to discuss how we can move towards better integration between different SAR agencies.

Highlights of our 2014 event include:

* A keynote address from Major General Nielsen, the Head of Denmark’s Arctic Command, who will address the challenge of search and rescue in the High North whilst discussing the impact that the multi-national SAREX Greenland Sea exercise has had on preparedness for operations in such a remote environment
* A pan-European examination of differing approaches to Search and Rescue, including feedback and unique insights into the most successful life-saving operations of the past year from organisations including: the RNLI, SASEMAR, JRCC Estonia, JRCC Norway and the Polish Maritime Search and Rescue Service
* An examination of the most innovative search and rescue technologies and the benefits they offer, including Unmanned Systems and social media coupled with an in-depth analysis of the latest advancements in training
* Engaging discussions and networking sessions on how to increase cooperation and integration within national SAR programmes and across international borders
