Developing Katherine as the regional service and supply hub to the mining & oil/gas sectors

Run in partnership between Informa Australia, the Northern Territory Government and the Katherine Mining Services Association, the 2nd Annual Katherine Regional Mining & Exploration Forum, has been confirmed to take place on the 28-29 May 2014 at the state of the art Godinymayin Cultural Centre in Katherine, NT.

Last year the inaugural event attracted over 120 mining executives and professionals and was a huge success! Have a read of our Katherine Regional Mining & Exploration Forum post event wrap up article which also highlights the media coverage after the event.

This exciting regional forum is the first and only event of its kind held in Katherine. The conference will feature presentations from explorers active in the region, operating mines, project developers and the many other parties associated with resources projects being developed in the wider Katherine region.

A key component of the conference will include views and insights into service and supply opportunities for local business, broader NT based businesses and interstate companies looking to build new partnerships in this emerging resources region. There will also be a number of updates on the exploration for shale gas, and the potential for service and supply opportunities going forward in this area.We are busy preparing the 2014 instalment, but in the meantime be sure to check out Katherine's big sister event commencing in Darwin on 11th & 12th September - 7th Annual Mining the Territory - in conjunction with SEAAOC and NT Resources Week.
