March 29 - April 6, 2014    Moscow , Russia
The exposition of Dutch paintings of the 17th century from private collections as a non-profit project in the halls of the CHA at the traditional autumn Russian Antique Salon is by no means accidental. And not just because it is timed to the activities of the Year of the Netherlands in Russia and Russia in the Netherlands, but, above all, because it is a unique opportunity to show to a wide Moscow audience the first-class museum-quality art material, which is scattered over several houses and private collectors and thus hardly accessible even for experts. Besides, the exhibition includes a number of works, never published in literature and never exhibited in Russia. On the other hand, the exhibition also presents a number of works from the large-scale project “Portraits of collectors. Russian and West-European art from the private collections of Moscow”, exhibited in the halls of Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in spring of 2012.
