This workshop covers a comprehensive content concerning ship arrest procedures and its challenges. In day 1, the trainer will touch on new principles, priorities and implications for the shipping industry as well as the laws and arrest procedures in detail. He will also discuss on the right to arrest, share valuable case studies and bring in the role of the P&I clubs in the arrest procedure. Day 1 will end with our trainer touching on bunker arrest, which has been predominant in Singapore in the past year, as well as some challenges faced in the arrest procedures. Day 2 focuses on wrongful arrests and the release of the vessels. Alternative to ship arrest such as freeze orders will also be explored so that in will minimise commercial delays. The session will be wrapped up with case studies and a useful Q&A session for delegates to share their views towards this topic.
