September 15 - 18, 2013    Riyadh , Saudi Arabia
Against this backdrop IQPC is proud to present the 4th Annual District Cooling Saudi Arabia Summit co-hosted by Saudi Tabreed to be held in Riyadh on the 15 - 18 September 2013. It will seek to identify the reasons why the penetration of district cooling has been relatively low and will seek to take the discusssion to the next level in order to produce tangible solutions to the many challenges that face the district cooling industry.

Currently the Middle East is experiencing massive demands on its energy resources for the purposes of cooling. In Saudi Arabia this energy demand equates to nearly 70% of total usage. With an increasing population and over US $100 bn being pumped into construction and infrastructure projects the use of traditional cooling is becoming gradually unsustainable. District cooling is increasingly being incorporated in the master planning of new cities and mega projects due to the energy savings it presents. Typically district cooling systems are 40 - 50% more energy efficient than their equivalenttraditional air cooling systems. The district cooling capacity in the region is set to increase by 4.5 million TR in the next 5 years with nearly half of that in Saudi and Qatar.
