November 14 - 16, 2011    Jakarta , Indonesia
The underground mining environment is hazardous and prone to several disasters including fire, roof collapse, inundation, gas leakage etc. It not only puts the life of the miners in peril but also causes extensive damage to the equipment, valuable resources and the environment. Inundation of Chasnala mines in which a large number of miners lost their lives and fire in large areas of Jharia coalfields where vast resources are burnt (and thus making a severe dent in the economy and the environment) are but some of the examples of how precious life and resources are lost in disasters in mines. World over, various technologies are being developed to mitigate these disasters but it needs to be debated whether there can be a single solution to address all these disasters.

In view of this, NEOEDGE is bringing to you another of our premier course “Mine Safety Workshop – Disaster Management” to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 14 to 16 November 2011. It will be led by two leading experts from Norton Rose – Mr Aaron Anderson and Mr Michael Tooma.

This 3 Day intensive workshop will draw on new concepts in Mine Site Health and Safety, and prepare you to scenarios in the event of such unforeseen circumstances.
