7 April, 2011    Cambridge , United Kingdom
The Cambridge Wireless Sensing SIG in conjunction with the Univ. Of Cambridge Eiffel Project will be uncovering the secrets to success in Wireless Sensing. This half day free event will be taking place at the Computer Labs, University of Cambridge on the 7th April 2011, and is supported by the Discovering Start-Ups Project, an initiative funded by EEDA to support and showcase start up companies.

Without any doubt, the area of 'wireless sensing' is full of exciting opportunities, manifested by the interest within the research, corporate and investment community in this area. But we all know that the path for exploitation is a thorny one, full of potential barriers and possible dead-ends. These barriers are not limited to technology but expand to issues like industrial organisation, business strategy, user acceptance and, of course, regulation. Identifying and understanding these barriers, the causalities influencing them, and the points of control influencing them, is crucial in making any opportunity a successful one.

A mind-mapping technique, developed at Cambridge University, will be employed throughout the event, so that the pool of information is captured in an organised, concise manner. You will be able to take this information with you, and put it to use in your own circumstance. We will also provide insight into the used methodology providing you with a tool to identify, capture, understand and overcome the barriers you are facing.

This event is supported by Discovering Start-Ups and EEDA and is FREE to attend. Priority will be given to Cambridge Wireless Members, should space be limited.
