October 12 - 13, 2011
The 14th Annual Energy Risk Europe conference will be held in London on 12-13 October 2011, with optional pre and post-conference seminars on the 11th and 14th.

The full two day conference will feature over 30 of Europe's leading risk management, hedging, trading, modelling and quantitative experts.

Regulation and geopolitical risk are currently at the top of the risk manager's agenda. There is clearly a need for financial and market reforms, however for energy firms it is like plotting a path through a minefield and current proposed regulation will severely restrain commodity markets unless it is revised.

With the current unrest in the Middle East and North Africa region impacting supply and driving prices higher energy the risk and hedging functions are under pressure to manage the business through this volatile period.

Energy Risk Europe is both an educational and networking forum that brings together energy market participants to equip them with the tools, techniques and solutions to better manage risk during these challenging times.
Topics being addressed this year include...

-New regulatory requirements and preparing your business for the challenge ahead
-Supply update of oil to the European markets and impact of current geopolitical risks in MENA region
-Modelling renewable power supply and demand to determine future investment requirements
-Managing operational risk in Europe's gas supply
-Developments in global and European LNG
-Market coupling: How close are we towards realising a single electricity market for Europe?
