The Salk Institute, Nature, and the Fondation IPSEN are pleased, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Salk Institute, to announce the 5th Symposium on Biological Complexity:
Emerging Concepts and Trends
October 27-29, 2010, Salk Institute for Biological Studies, La Jolla, CA, USA
Founded in 1960, this year the Salk Institute celebrates its 50th anniversary. This conference, the fifth in the series of symposia on biological complexity, has been planned to reflect the Salk's six main areas of research: cancer, metabolism and physiology, neuroscience, immunology and virology, plant biology, and stem cells and developmental biology. In each session, leaders in the field will, as well as giving an overview of how the field has developed over the past fifty years, discuss the most recent concepts and the trends that will inform how each field develops in the future.
