This one day course is designed to improve and update the knowledge of the health care provider for evaluating and managing pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). It will enable the clinician to select appropriate diagnostic tests and determine the best treatment option for the patient. In addition, the clinician will understand and appreciate the role of lung transplantation in the management of PAH so patients can be appropriately counseled. Recommendations on appropriate referrals to PAH and Transplant Centers will be discussed. Case studies will be emphasized to illustrate practice principles.
