15 June, 2010
The focus of the 9th NOMA is on novel optical materials that possess unique characteristics for application in nonlinear- and electro-optics, communications, sensing, integrated- and nano- and bio-photonics. Materials of interest include, but are not limited to, nano-structures, metamaterials, photonic crystals, liquid crystals, composite materials, nonlinear and electro-optical crystals and optofludics.

The meeting provides a forum for plenary lectures on the fundamentals of these materials and their roles in actual optical devices, and oral/poster presentations of new research results and developments. Participants will have ample time to learn new materials and optical system applications, and involve themselves in ideas exchange and discussions in a picturesque setting.
