Barcelona Degusta, the Consumer Food Show, is the first food and beverage exhibition in Spain created for the end consumer. The show offers all audiences a one-of-a-kind opportunity to sample, purchase and learn all about food, cooking and gastronomy. Original launches, traditional cuisine, sensory tasting workshops and fun culinary shows are all part of this great culinary festival, to be held 6-9 March 2009 at the Fira Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue (Pavilion 1).
Barcelona Degusta presents an innovative exhibition model which combines a great market for food, beverages, kitchen utensils and culinary publications in a single space. The exhibition area is divided into different themed areas to make visiting easier. The Market gives visitors the opportunity to sample and purchase gourmet products. The Kiosk and Bazaar bring consumers a wide range of culinary publications and practical solutions for the home, respectively; while the Ambigus provide the ideal environment in which to savour a variety of culinary offerings.
A new feature presented at this edition of Barcelona Degusta is Landscapes, a space in which to journey through the wealth of products from a specific area, and Trends, an overview of today’s market.
But Barcelona Degusta is also a place intended for learning and education. Top specialists visit the Taste Seminars to offer master classes and run guided tastings and practical demonstrations. In addition, attendees have the opportunity to engage today’s most celebrated gourmets and chefs in discussions by participating in the Taste Agoras.
