When the gates open at 8AM on April 26th the Sandwich Antiques Market will have a new look on the Westside. Now patrons will be able to see two shows at one fair grounds. The new West Field will open with crafts, flea market items, family garage sales and business booths. The antique and collectible dealers will still be located in the East Field as they have for the past 22 years. The East Field continues to focus on a complete range of antiques and collectibles from the 19th and 20th centuries. All items must be at least 20 years old and have some artistic or monetary value. This one-day summer market features quality exhibitors and is held at the park-like Sandwich Fairgrounds, with its beautiful 100-year old trees and plenty of places to sit and rest. Located 60 miles west of Chicago just one block north of US 34. Hours: 8AM to 4PM, Central time. Sunday admission is $5 per person, parking is free and food is available for purchase. The Market is held rain or shine with exhibitors both inside and outside. Many of the outdoor exhibitors are under tent or some sort of cover. The Market is held on the third or fourth Sunday of the month, April through October. Early buyer is possible on Saturday during setup (10Am to Dusk) for a fee of $30 per person – which includes a return entry on Sunday prior to public opening. ATM on site provided by Castlebank N.A.
