AMITEC 2009

AMITEC  2009 is the foremost trade fair of the year for car parts,workshops and service in Germany and Central Europe. Leipzig has positioned itself as the pivotal venue for suppliers, purchasers and other decision-makers as well as the users of products and services to meet and discuss maintenance, service and repair for passenger cars and utility vehicles. AMITEC’s attraction has been constantly burgeoning in recent years: 271 exhibitors and 51,800 trade visitors came to Leipzig’s state-of-the-art exhibition grounds in 2008. 60% of the professional trade visitors came from more than 100 kilometres away while 40% of them thought it was worth travelling 200 kilometres. But we should not forget that international visitors were also interested in AMITEC and its Central European alignment helped boost the number of foreign trade visitors to 16%. Most came from Poland, the Czech Republic and other Central and Eastern European countries.
