Following the success of the last few years, British Journal of Hospital Medicine in association with EYE, SecEd and 5to7 is delighted to announce the 9th National Autism Today conference, to be held in Edinburgh on 4th and 5th October 2011.

This is now an integral meeting in the calendar of all specialists working with children and adolescents with autism, including specialists in psychiatry, paediatrics, learning disabilities, clinical psychology, speech and language therapy and education.

We have an excellent line-up of speakers from the fields of healthcare and education, to present research updates and to provide practical advice about how to manage autism.

Our keynote address will be presented by Professor Gillian Baird from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, London, who will be giving us a run down of how to implement new guidance for the diagnosis of autism in children.

We are also delighted to be joined by Dr Will Mandy, Dr Luci Wiggs, Dr Helen Pearce, Mike Stanton, Chris White and Dr Gillian Harris.
